Papa Bear Spices are aquaponically grown in raised gravel beds right here in Oregon. Our koi fish feed the plants, and the plants clean the water for the fish — a full, natural cycle that produces vibrant, flavorful spices without synthetic inputs. We raise and freeze dry spices ourselves at the peak of freshness, and share our annual plant cycles on Facebook so you can see exactly where your spices comes from.
🌱 Seasonal Harvest — Limited Quantities. We are a small cottage grower, which means limited supplies. Each spice ranges from 130 jars a piece [Garlic & Six Pepper] down to 30; depending on spice (Basil), So when we're out, we're out until next year's harvest. If you see it in stock, don't wait!

All natural. No preservatives. No artificial additives. The only extras you'll find are desiccant packs to keep your spices dry. Salt is added only to our Dry Roasted Garlic Powder and Fermented Pickle Powder because its required for brine or proper flavor profile (roasted Garlic). Otherwise, you should be the one to determine if you want salt on your food, not me.
